Greetings ,
Upon first hearing about Acutonics®, many people ask me if it
really works. It just seems so simple; applying sound to certain
points on a body can alleviate pain, energize, relieve stress, relax
and/or heal. The answer as to WHY is really two fold:
First the sounds used in Acutonics® are unique and specific. Each
tone is a planetary frequency, the base or basic tone used being OM.
OM is the frequency of the Earth in its 365 day cycle around the
Sun. OM is actually the sound that our planet makes as it whorls
thru space. This natural sound is of course too low for our ears to
hear, so it has been raised octave by octave to be within our range
of hearing. Listening to OM is like walking barefoot in the grass or
in the sand and surf. We naturally recognize this tone, our bodies
naturally respond to OM by realigning and grounding. This is not a
mental process where we decide to respond but rather an automatic
entrainment by the physical and emotional body to the tone.
OM is called the base tone in the Acutonics® system. All the
other tones (except for Sedna which is an advanced elective and a
whole different story) are higher than OM. OM is paired with other
planetary tones (Moon, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, Sun, etc.) to
create a harmonic. When OM is paired with these other 19 planetary
frequencies a beautiful and powerful cosmic scale of microtones,
octaves, majors and minors, seconds, thirds, fourths, fifths, sixths
and sevenths is created. Each harmonic combination creates a sound
current with a specific healing energetic. Acutonics® training is
all about learning how to determine which harmonic to use and where
to use it.
This brings us to the second part of the answer as to WHY the
system works. In a word, acupuncture. Acupuncture has been regarded
as a potent healing modality for approximately four thousand years.
In Acutonics® we use the meridian system and source points of
acupuncture for the placement of the tuning forks. However unlike
some acupuncture treatments, Acutonics® is non-invasive, very
comfortable and always pleasant to experience.
An Acutonics® harmonic attunement is conducted while lying on
a massage table, fully clothed and barefoot. After 45 minutes to an
hour of treatment, one experiences a deep stillness that can last
for days. It is in this stillness that ease is obtained and dis-ease
is dissolved as the body is given space to heal itself. Experiencing
an Acutonics® harmonic attunement is a beautiful, gentle process;
very profound and extremely effective and powerful.
